The car below is for some time during the 2008 season. Below are pictures of the progress of the car being built. As we complete parts of the car, pictures will be added to this page. It will be painted similar to the car that we raced during the 2007 season. We take our cars down to the bare shell because we want to know what the chassis is really like under, inside, and out side. We make sure that every nut and bolt is good before the car goes on the race track. The reward for doing that is when parts stay on the car during a race. About mid season of 2008 a mini stock offered a trade for the car below and a hatch back car with the frame rails for the roll cage already welded in it. The team as 3 hatch back cars included the one we got in trade. There was less work to do on car we got in the trade. On a side note, the car we ended up with was offered to us in 2003 as a complete car. at that time we did not take it because of the cost. All photos on this page thus far were taken by car owner and driver Arthur Phillips. |

Above are the front fenders ready to go on the car, we did not use the fenders native to the car because they were too nice for a race car.
A look in side

We put the car on its side so we can patch, clean, and paint the body. We also run gas and brake lines while it is on its side.
The roll cage is an important part of safety. It keeps the driver's part from bending during a crash. Before this cage goes in the car, it will be cleaned, every weld will be checked and painted. We like our cars safe.
On the left is Sampson, happy to see us bringing him a treat. To the right we have Joe on his way to see us
Above left, Kim and Tim installing a rear end on a parts car, above right, the job is done and it is ready to get back on the ground. |
