The 2005 season was a hard season to get through no one was able to enjoy it. The road car, the truck took turns breaking down. We had to have my brother bring the car to the track because of a tired motor in the truck. We lost 2 motors in the truck and one in the road car. The only vehicle that was staying together was the race car and I thought it was going to turn around and just before the car hit the wall, I was thanking God for keeping at least one thing running with out breaking down. My dad was driving the car at the time when he hit the wall exiting turn #4. He was looking for racing room and ran out of space. The only injury he got was a broken wrist that took most of the winter to heal. That was when the winter started off rough. The next car did not see the track until mid season of 2006.

The photos below are from the crash about 3 races from the end of the season and the building of the next car.

All photos on this page thus far were taken by car owner and driver Arthur Phillips.

Above is the 86 body after we took out the roll cage.

Below is where the floor separated from the rocker panel.

This car was bent beyond salvage, everything except the roll cage bent.

The battery is not supposed to be on an angle like it is in the upper right.

The right front tire hit first right at the strut tower.

The front bumper was pushed over about 2 feet. The motor still runs and the radiator did not get damaged from the crash.

The sub frame in the front was bent. We trashed most of the front end suspension parts.

On the rear, the control arms bent, it saved the rear end from damage. We were able to use it on another car. The left rear quarter panel needed some hammering to straiten out after we cut it off the car, a mini stock driver needed one so we gave it to him.

The roll cage hanging in a tree after we cut it out, it was checked, cleaned up and painted before it went into the next car.

The next car was an almost no good car. It was a rust bucket. We stripped it down to nothing and fixed all the rotted places and made it in to a race car. Below are some of the photos from the constructing of the next car for 2006.

At this time, we just finished the work that was needed to be done on the bottom of the car. we put a rear end on  the car so we could move it around when we needed to use the work tent for other projects.

Inside look just before paint and the roll cage.

Below is a look at the next car with the cage welded in, inside painted, fuel cell set in its place and the front end put in with new struts.

Due to camera malfunctions the next photo is when the car is on the race track, click on the 2006 season to see it.
